Every parish experiences seasons of change, and this is one of those important moments in the life of our church.
Over the past several years, we have witnessed God's faithfulness in remarkable ways. We have given thanks for the devoted ministries of our former Rector and Deacon as they entered retirement, celebrated paying off the mortgage on our church home, and now begin the search for new clergy leadership. As we look ahead, we recognize that this is not simply a time of transition, but an opportunity to prayerfully discern where God is calling us next. Our congregation has diverse hopes for the future of our parish. Some envision expanding outreach, others strengthening worship, formation, or fellowship. While our perspectives may differ, we are united by a shared love for this parish and a desire to see God's mission flourish.
This year's stewardship campaign, Walking Forward Together, invites us to begin that journey—not by seeking immediate answers, but by listening to each other and the Holy Spirit. Rather than viewing stewardship as simply an annual request for financial support, we invite you to experience stewardship as a ministry of relationships. Throughout this campaign, we invite parishioners to participate in small-group conversations where we can share our stories of faith, reflect on how we experience God in our lives, celebrate what we value most about our parish, and prayerfully imagine the future God is preparing for us. Together, we will listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
With a solid foundation, it is now time to consider how God is calling us to invest more deeply in the people, relationships, and mission of our parish. We invite every member of our parish family to participate in this season of discernment in three meaningful ways:
