St. Mary's Vestry

The Vestry is St. Mary's governing board, legally responsible for all matters of finance, property and maintenance within the parish.

St. Mary's Vestry is comprised of the Rector, who normally presides at all meetings, and St. Mary's parishioners, elected to two-year terms by the congregation.

The Vestry meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Minutes from each Vestry meeting are made public to the congregation.


Tim Bridges (Senior Warden)

Tim and his wife nancy, a deacon at St. Mary's, have attended church here for almost 20 years. Their daughter Kimberly Webb, and her husband Roger, both live in Edmond with Tim's grandchildren Rachel and David. Their son Scott lives in Los Angeles. Tim is very involved in the church at the diocesan and national levels. Tim currently co-chairs the Search-Profile Committee that is carged with finding nominees for the next Diocesan Bishop of Oklahoma. He is a former member of the Diocesan Council, delegate to the diocesan convention, and serves on a body at General Convention as a deputy from Oklahoma. He is also active in Cursillo, serves as chalice bearer, and sings in the choir.

Don Hensch (Senior Warden - Elect)

Don and his wife Cheryl were married at St. Mary's in 1984. After a short period of worshipping at St. David's (while living in Bethany), and living in Houston and Salt Lake City, they returned to Edmond in 1999. Their son Cory lives in Beeville, TX with his wife Rachel and their sons Alton and Robert. Their other son, Cameron, lives in Lawton with his wife Misty and their daughters Kayleigh, Catherine, and Rebecca. Both Don and Cheryl sing in the 11am choir.

Leroy Coffman

Leroy has been at St. Mary's since moving to Edmond in 1965, and was confirmed in 1996. He has two adult daughters, Mary Jane, who lives here in Edmond, and Donna, who lives with her husband Brad in O'Fallon, MO. Leroy spent 15 years in Indonesia working for Mobil before he retired. While there he attended the Anglican/Episcopal Church. He serves as the study leader for the Whole In One singles ministry and sings in the 11am choir. Outside of St. Mary's, he volunteers at the OU Medical Center twice a week and is President of the Volunteer Organization. Leroy is a very proud graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma.

Dion Crider

Term Expires 2009
Dion is married to Linda and has three daughters, Kelsey (15), Madison (7), and Regan (6). They have been attending St. Mary's since 1999. Kelsey graduated from St. Mary's School in 2003 and both Madison and Regan currently attend. Dion works for Love's Travel Stops as Director of Store Technology. For the churc, he is currently serving on the Diocesan Council and is very involved with the Cursillo movement. He currently serves on the diocesan Secretariat and also represents Province VII on the National Cursillo Committee. He graduated from St. Mary's EFM program in 2006.


Kathryn Gage

Kathryn and her husband Keith have been at St. Mary's since 1997. They have two sons, Keith III and Kyle. Kathryn is employed as Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Central Oklahoma. At St. Mary's she has served as Coordinator of Children's Chapel for a number of years, teaches PowerXpress, is on the Vacation Bible School committee and serves as lay reader.


Nancy Powell

Term Expires 2009
Nancy was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She is a "cradle" Episcopalian. She was married to 1st Lt. Terry H. Powell Ret. USMC for 37 years before he went to be with the Lord on Palm Sunday 2004. Her son Bryan lives in Edmond with his wife Mary Ann and their children Emersyn, Drew and Evan. Her daughter Debbie Aurelius lives in Tomball, TX with her husband Campbell and son Seth. She loves Cursillo and has been on team 3 times. She now serves on the ECW Board and is a member of OSL and the Altar Guild. She is a graduate of OSU. She attends the 8:45am service.


Tom Pearson

Tom and his wife Cynthia have been at St. Mary's for seven years. They have two children, Connor and Madison, who both serve as acolytes. Tom is active as an usher and is a graduate of the EFM program. Outside of St. Mary's, Tom is very active in the Boy Scouts program.


David Youngblood

Term Expires 2009
David and his wife Jill were married 1994 and have four sones: Zach (9), Jared (7), Dylan (6) & Cade ( 1 1/2). He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University (1991) and has a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He and Jill lived in Corpus Christi, TX where he worked for Koch Industries Refinery as a Project Manager. In 1997 their family moved to Tulsa for a year before moving to Edmond in 1998. In 1999 he started his own company, Precision Crafted Homes, LLC. David and his family began attending St. Mary's in 2002. Their three oldest sons have attended Kindergarten at St. Mary's School and their youngest was baptized at St. Mary's.

Vestry Officers


Rob Rainey (Chancellor)

Rob, an attorney with a long history at St. Mary's, serves as legal counsel to the parish. Although he can participate in Vestry discussions, as an appointed member, he does not have an official vote.


Ben Kenyon III (Treasurer)

The Treasurer is appointed each year to ensure appropriate financial management according to Title 1, Cannon 7 of the Episcopal Church cannons. He supports the Wardens and Vestry in management of the business affairs of the Parish and ensure that Parish Bylaws and Vestry decisions are reflected in the daily business operations.

Ben and his wife Sammie were married at St. Mary's in 1984 and have attended church here since 1986. His step-daughter and her husband, Anne and Tom Byrd, also attend St. Mary's with their three children, Tres, Kyt, and Dot.



Alice Norton (Clerk of the Vestry)

Alice has been serving in this role for some time as the Secretary of the Vestry. She attends all meetings and takes the minutes of each. Her other official duties include giving all notices required by the bylaws, statutes, resolutions, or canons.
