For more than one hundred years, the prayers of thanks accompanied by coins in Blue Boxes have
grown into millions and millions of dollars which enable the Church to bring Christ to many
who may not know Him, bringing better social conditions, medical care, clean drinking water,
transportation, safe havens for women and children victims of domestic violence and more.
The goal of the UTO committee is to have a Blue Box in every home and to have 100% of churches participating. Every person in the Episcopal Church is asked to please join in this outpouring of thanks and love and devotion to our God. Mission and Parish chairpersons are the heart of the United Thank Offering. They tell the UTO story to their parish families, vestries, ECW’s and Sunday School classes. They arrange for the Spring and Fall ingathering and see that the monies reach the Diocesan Coordinator in a timely manner.
