The Intercessory Prayer Chain is a group of St. Mary’s parishioners who have committed themselves
to pray earnestly for those who request their prayers, and to keep whatever confidences such
requests may require. When a member of the Prayer Chain receives a prayer request, he or she
immediately passes the request on to the next person in the chain, and further responds by
praying in the privacy of his/her home. This way, in a very short time, a sizable group of
Christians has been mobilized to pray.
We also contact our Prayer Partners through e-mail to pass on new requests with the greatest speed and accuracy. In addition to the Prayer Chain, prayers are offered by clergy and lay persons in the chapel following the Eucharist.
Anyone whose time and interest allows is encouraged to participate in this important ministry.
