The International Order of St. Luke the Physician (OSL) is made up of clergy, health professionals, and lay people who believe
healing is an essential part of the teaching and practice of our Lord Jesus Christ and that the healing ministry of Christ belongs
in the Church today. It is an interdenominational Christian order of faith and St. Mary’s has a chapter of OSL which is
one of many with in this worldwide Order. The order believes that God uses many avenues for healing – some spiritual and some medical – and that they should be
supportive of one another.
Our order will be trying to promote healing prayer after communion in all services at the chapel or after the service, if so requested. We are also available for prayer for illness or hospital visits. In addition, you will be hearing of healing services being offered during the year, so please think about not only your physical needs, but your spiritual and emotional healing as well. Often our prayers are on the behalf of someone who may not even be present.
Our members are Deacon Nancy, Deacon Tony, Janet Kennedy, Beverly & Jim Feist, Andy & Cristal Miskovich, Pam White, Louise Wolf, Talesa Shores and associate members such as Sarah Courts and Diane Hesse.
If you are interested in further information, please contact Janet Kennedy, our St. Mary’s OSL Convener at 844- 8978 or cell 919-1989. For more information about the Order of St. Luke, please visit the international website at www.orderofstluke.org.
