Loaves and Fishes Ministry provides meals for families at St. Mary’s who are in need, such
as at times of illness, death, childbirth, financial problems, etc. Sometimes the need is
for some chicken soup when someone is down with the flu, and sometimes it would be helpful
to have some extra food when relatives are in town for a funeral. It is not important WHAT
kind of food is provided, but the desire to serve those who are in need.
Many of us are busy with families and work and would like to help, but don’t have time to cook a big meal. Many grocery stores have deli departments that sell precooked meals (a roasted chicken and a side dish or two), or even some take-out from a restaurant would be such a blessing to some family or individual in need.
