The Rev. Nancy Bridges (Deacon)

The Ordination Service on June 16, 2001 was truly one of the highlights of my life and I will always be grateful for the support and encouragement given to me by our St. Mary's community. I take very seriously the vows I took on that day and I feel privileged to have this opportunity to serve.

At St. Mary's I have helped in Pastoral visits, assisted in Children's Chapel, and facilitated a Bereavement Group as well as helped with the Monday Evening Healing Service. I continue to support the activities of the women of the parish assisting them as needed. Also, I serve on Sunday at the Altar.

In addition, I remain on the Diocesan ECW Board serving as Chairperson of Devotional Life. In this role I plan Diocesan retreats, and worship services for the women of the Diocese. I attended the Bishop's Conference for Clergy in October as well as the Diocesan Convention in Norman where I served as Chalice Bearer at the Worship Service

I am currently employed by Good Shepherd Hospice where I have worked as A Chaplain for the past 7 years. Besides ministering to the terminally ill and their families, I facilitate several support groups in OK City and often do in-services on death and dying. I find my work very rewarding.

My formation journey is on-going and I continue to be open to wherever the Holy Spirit leads me in His service at St. Mary's and in the Church.
