ChristCare is the name of St. Mary’s small group ministry. Small groups are an important part of the church.
They are a way to get to know others, share and grow in our walk with Christ. They are a way to both, be
ministered to and to minister to others in your small group.
ChristCare groups are led by well-trained leaders. Each group meeting focuses on four components:
-
• Community Building and Care, in which we purposefully build a sense of community within our group and care for one another in a personal way that is often not possible in larger gatherings;
• Biblical Equipping, more than a Bible study, it is a structured way to engage with Holy Scripture and apply it to our daily lives in meaningful ways;
• Missional Service, an important part of our Christian lives, we reach out to serve others in large or small ways that fit our God-given talents and skills, and realistically fit our personal schedules.
• Prayer and Worship—we pray together, prompting prayer to become an important part of our daily lives.
While the opportunity for growth in each of these areas is always a possibility, no one is ever made to feel
“put on the spot” or uncomfortable. Meeting people where they are, while opening a door for growth in Christ,
moves us towards the goal of ChristCare groups, which is transformation.
All St. Mary’s members are welcome to join in our small groups. Non-members and non-Christians are welcome as
well. Groups are always open, and you can join a group—or drop in for a visit—at any time.
Contact a group leader for details. Our current groups each meet two times per month on the following days:
